The City of Brampton has launched its new Recreation mobile app, giving residents a more convenient way to browse, register, and pay for recreation programs and services directly from their mobile devices.
The free app, developed in partnership with Xplor, is available on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. It allows users to:
- Browse and register for programs anytime, anywhere.
- Use AI Smart Search to quickly find programs that match their interests.
- Manage accounts, schedules, and memberships for individuals and families.
- Make secure credit card payments.
- Receive in-app notifications for updates, reminders, and waitlists.
In July, the City invited residents to test the app as App Ambassadors, whose feedback helped refine features and improve accessibility.
Mayor Patrick Brown said the new app demonstrates Brampton’s commitment to innovation and accessibility:
“This new recreation app is a way for people to connect with the thousands of programs and services we offer. It’s another example of how we are using innovation to remove barriers, encourage active living, and strengthen community connections.”
Regional Councillor Rowena Santos, Chair of the Community Services Section, highlighted the app’s role in inclusion:
“Recreation brings people together, creating opportunities for connection, inclusion and well-being. This app helps make that possible by meeting people where they are, anywhere and anytime.”
Commissioner of Community Services Bill Boyes praised the recreation team’s work:
“This new app reflects our commitment to keeping Brampton active, healthy and connected. It offers residents a quick way to discover and manage their activities, making it easier to access the opportunities that make Brampton a great place to live, work and play.”
The City says the app builds on its ongoing efforts to expand access and make participation in recreation simpler and more engaging for all residents.
