In recognition of Ontario’s Non-Profit Sector Appreciation Week, the City of Brampton is reaffirming its commitment to local non-profits and charities through the return of the Brampton Non-Profit and Charitable Sector Development Learning Series. Delivered in partnership with The G. Raymond Chang School of Continuing Education at Toronto Metropolitan University, the series provides free seminars aimed at equipping non-profit leaders with essential skills in grant writing, financial management, and organizational growth.
For the first time in the program’s history, and in response to participant feedback, attendees who successfully complete a seminar will receive a Workshop Participation Award. This new recognition aims to support professional development and enhance career progression within the non-profit sector.
Running from March through November, the Brampton Non-Profit and Charitable Sector Development Learning Series will offer monthly in-person and online learning opportunities, led by industry experts. These interactive sessions are designed to address real-world challenges faced by non-profit organizations and provide practical strategies to strengthen their sustainability and impact.
Through these seminars, participants will have the opportunity to enhance their grant writing skills, refine financial management techniques, and develop strategies for organizational growth. Additionally, they will gain access to networking opportunities with other local non-profit leaders, organizations, and funding bodies.
Recognizing the critical role non-profits play in delivering essential programs and services, the City of Brampton remains committed to supporting these organizations in their efforts to meet community needs.
