The City of Brampton has officially broken ground on the Cassie Campbell Field Hockey Multisport Training Dome, a major new recreation facility that will provide year-round access to high-quality sports and fitness amenities for residents of all ages and abilities.
Located at the Cassie Campbell Community Centre, this $19 million investment supports Brampton’s commitment to active living, inclusive recreation, and youth engagement. The air-supported dome will cover a full-size turf field hockey field and house:
- A straight running track with long and triple jump sand pits
- Indoor cricket and baseball batting cages
- A comfort station with change rooms and washrooms
The project is expected to be completed in early 2026.
The dome builds on the legacy of the Cassie Campbell Community Centre—named after Brampton-born Olympian Cassie Campbell-Pascall—and will welcome youth, community, and professional sports events. It will provide opportunities for athletes to develop skills and foster connections through sport.
The initiative is part of the city’s broader effort to winterize sports amenities citywide. Other projects include the Earnscliffe Park Cricket Facility and the Rosalea Park Tennis Facility, strengthening Brampton’s leadership in promoting active, healthy lifestyles all year round.
