City of Brampton Announces Easter Long Weekend Service Schedule

Brampton: The City of Brampton has released its service schedule for the upcoming Easter long weekend, with closures and adjusted hours in effect from Friday, April 3 through Monday, April 6.

Most administrative offices, including City Hall, will be closed on Good Friday and Easter Monday. However, essential services such as fire and emergency response, traffic operations, by-law enforcement, road maintenance, and security will continue uninterrupted to ensure public safety throughout the holiday period.

Residents will still have access to Service Brampton 24 hours a day through the 311 system, including the mobile app, website, or by calling 3-1-1. Urgent requests will be handled overnight, while non-urgent concerns are encouraged to be submitted online.

Public transit services will operate on modified schedules over the weekend. On Good Friday and Easter Sunday, Brampton Transit will run on a Sunday or holiday schedule, while Saturday service will follow regular weekend hours. On Easter Monday, transit will return to a weekday schedule. Customer service counters will be closed on holiday days but open on Saturday and Monday, with contact centre support available daily during specified hours. Transit facilities, including Clark and Sandalwood locations, will remain closed throughout the long weekend and reopen on Tuesday, April 7.

Outdoor amenities such as parks, trails, playgrounds, and off-leash dog areas will remain open, offering residents opportunities to stay active and enjoy the spring weather. Recreation centres will operate on adjusted hours, with no registered programs scheduled on Good Friday or Easter Monday.

All branches of the Brampton Library will be closed on April 3, 5, and 6. Residents are encouraged to visit ahead of the weekend to borrow materials, though digital services will remain available online.

Animal services will also be affected, with the Brampton Animal Shelter closed on Good Friday and Easter Monday. Despite the closure, animal services officers will continue routine patrols and respond to emergencies as needed.

The city encourages residents to plan ahead and check official resources for detailed schedules to ensure a smooth and enjoyable Easter long weekend.
