The City of Brampton is inviting residents and visitors to join in Culture Days 2025, a national celebration of arts, culture, and creativity running from September 19 to October 12. Sponsored by Toronto Pearson and developed in collaboration with Brampton Arts Organization (BAO), Peel Art Gallery, Museum and Archives (PAMA), Brampton Library, the Downtown Brampton BIA, and many community partners, this year’s lineup will feature dozens of free programs across the city, from hands-on workshops and art exhibits to storytelling, live music, dance, and more.
Highlights of this year’s celebration include a lively kick-off event and afterparty on September 19 in downtown Brampton with guided art tours, museum activities, live music and interactive performances. On September 21, residents will be able to take part in Doors Open Brampton, exploring 11 heritage sites that showcase the stories and spaces that define Brampton’s diverse cultural fabric. The city is also spotlighting local talent through a curated series of community events featuring Brampton-based artists, including Meegan Lim’s Moon & Memory workshops, First Nations singer/songwriter Pamela Levi’s interactive songwriting circle, a four-part creative series hosted by Happy Hands Pottery & Art Studio with artist Angelica Candido, and Raíces y Ritmos, a Latin dance and culture series presented by the Brampton Latinos Association.
Last year, Brampton was named the top participating community in the Urban Centres category and ranked second overall nationwide, hosting more than 200 free events. This year, the city is building on that momentum to further strengthen its reputation as a dynamic cultural hub. Mayor Patrick Brown said, “Culture Days 2025 is a chance for everyone in Brampton to experience the arts, connect with our community and support the incredible local talent that makes this city so unique. After being recognized nationally last year, we are proud to build on that momentum with another exciting lineup of free events.”

Regional Councillor Rowena Santos, Chair of the Community Services Section, added, “Culture Days is a powerful reminder of how art and culture connect us. This national initiative encourages us to foster a deeper appreciation for creativity, build meaningful connections, and showcase the diversity that defines Brampton’s cultural identity. When residents come together to sing, dance, paint, or share stories, we are not only celebrating creativity but also strengthening the social fabric of our city. Every workshop, performance, and exhibition is a chance to build pride and belonging. As Brampton continues to grow, events like Culture Days help ensure our cultural community is vibrant, inclusive, and accessible for everyone — from newcomers and youth to seniors and long-time residents. This is how we create a Brampton that reflects the heart and soul of its people.”
