Celebrate 50 Years of Brampton: A Day of Music, Fun, and Community

The City of Brampton is thrilled to announce the celebration of its 50th Birthday Bash on June 29, 2024, at Chinguacousy Park. This landmark event marks five decades since Brampton’s incorporation in 1974, reflecting on the city’s vibrant growth, rich diversity, and strong community spirit.

The 50th Birthday Bash promises a day filled with excitement and joy for residents and visitors of all ages. This family-friendly gathering will provide an opportunity to connect with various City departments, explore Brampton’s storied past, dynamic present, and promising future. Attendees can enjoy a multitude of free activities, from interactive exhibits to engaging games, and savor delicious offerings from local food vendors.

Hosting this grand celebration is Brampton Arts Walk of Fame inductee and JUNO award-winner Keshia Chanté. The event will feature a spectacular lineup of musical performances from Brampton’s very own talents, including Haviah Mighty, Omega Mighty, and Darryn de Souza. Adding to the excitement, Exco Levi, another Brampton Arts Walk of Fame inductee and five-time JUNO award-winner, will take the stage.

The evening will culminate in a show-stopping performance by the headliner, Johnny Reid. As a Brampton Arts Walk of Fame inductee and multi-platinum selling recording artist, Reid’s performance promises to be a highlight of the celebration, bringing the community together for an unforgettable evening.

In addition to the festivities on June 29, the celebration extends throughout the long weekend from June 29 to July 1. Visitors and residents can enjoy free concerts, festivals, and explore Brampton’s shops, restaurants, and attractions.
