Canada-Wide Manhunt: Toronto Murder Suspect Considered “Armed and Dangerous”

Toronto police have issued a Canada-wide warrant for a suspect wanted in connection with a fatal shooting earlier this month, warning the public that the individual is “armed and dangerous.” Dellano Robertson-Berry, 24, of Toronto, is wanted for second-degree murder in the death of 43-year-old Lyle Pounall.

The incident occurred around 8 p.m. on February 5 near Sherbourne Street and Queen Street East. Officers responding to the scene found Pounall suffering from a gunshot wound. He was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries but was later pronounced dead.

Police have released a photo of Robertson-Berry and are urging anyone with information about his whereabouts to contact authorities immediately. “The suspect is considered armed and dangerous,” police said in a statement. “If anyone sees him, do not approach, and call 9-1-1 immediately.”

Robertson-Berry is described as approximately five feet tall with a medium build. Investigators are asking the public to remain vigilant and report any sightings or information that could assist in locating him. Tips can be provided to the Toronto Police Service at 416-808-2222 or anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online at www.ontariocrimestoppers.ca. Crime Stoppers offers a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to an arrest.

This marks Toronto’s third homicide of 2025, according to police. The case has heightened concerns about public safety as authorities work to apprehend the suspect and prevent further violence.
