Burrito Bonanza: Chipotle Spices Up Mississauga with New Spot This Week

Get your taste buds ready: Chipotle Mexican Grill is dropping a fresh location in Mississauga this Friday, March 14, at 2975 Eglinton Avenue—smack at the Winston Churchill Boulevard and Eglinton Avenue crossroads. The “fast-casual” chain, famed for its burritos, bowls, tacos, and salads, is taking over a shuttered Swiss Chalet spot that closed last March.

“This is our fifth Chipotle in Mississauga, pushing us past 50 across Canada,” said spokesperson Annie Gradinger. Born in 1993 near the University of Denver, founder Steve Ells drew inspiration from San Francisco’s Mission District burrito scene. Now, with over 3,700 spots worldwide, Chipotle’s bringing its signature vibe—complete with a handy “Chipotlane” drive-thru—to this latest outpost.

Doors swing open daily from 10:45 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Friday’s grand opening comes with a perk: the first 30 in line snag a free Chipotle keychain. Hungry for a gig? They’re hiring here and nationwide, staffing about 30 crew members per spot, Gradinger added.

From a college-town startup to a global giant, Chipotle’s Mississauga move promises quick eats with a side of flair. Mark your calendars!
