Brazen Smash-and-Grab at Brampton Costco: Jewelry Heist Leaves Worker Injured

A group of masked robbers stormed a Brampton Costco in a daring smash-and-grab heist Monday evening, targeting the store’s jewelry showcases and leaving a staff member injured in the chaos.

Peel Regional Police say the incident occurred around 7:00 p.m. on April 14 at the Costco located on Biscayne Crescent, near Steeles Avenue East and Highway 410.

Armed with hammers, the suspects shattered glass display cases and stole an undisclosed amount of jewelry before fleeing the scene. During the attempted escape, a Costco employee who tried to intervene was assaulted by one of the suspects. The worker sustained minor injuries.

Authorities have not confirmed how many individuals were involved, and the exact value of the stolen items remains unknown.

Police continue to investigate the high-profile robbery and are urging witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

This bold crime adds to growing concerns over retail thefts in the region, particularly at large-scale retail outlets.
