Brampton Transit will provide free, all-day transit service on Saturday, August 16, 2025, for Canadian War Veterans and one companion to attend the Warriors’ Day Parade in Toronto.
Veterans can be identified by showing a Brampton Transit “War Veteran Pass” or by presenting medals, berets, uniforms, blazers, service papers, or similar credentials.
This year’s parade, the 104th since its inception in 1921, will commemorate the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War and the Liberation of the Netherlands. The annual event honours Veterans, active military personnel, their families, and the public who gather to show support.
Brampton City Council and Brampton Transit continue to recognize the service and sacrifices of Canadian Armed Forces members through the Veteran Pass Program, which allows Brampton-based Veterans to ride transit free year-round with a valid Veteran Pass.
