Brampton Social Group Holds Special Meeting with MP Amandeep Sodhi

In a heartwarming and exclusive gathering, members of the Brampton Social Group (BSG) welcomed newly elected Member of Parliament Amandeep Sodhi from Brampton Centre, representing the Liberal Party of Canada. The event was organized to extend congratulations on her victory and to build a strong foundation for continued collaboration between the Muslim community and its federal representative.

Among the prominent members of BSG present at the gathering were Safdar Hussain, Shafiq Ahmed, Akram Awan, Sarfraz Hussain, Hassan Munib, Javed Kang, and Qamar Zia—each of whom plays an active role in uniting and uplifting the local community through social engagement and advocacy.

BSG President Mr. Safdar Hussain presented MP Sodhi with a beautiful bouquet and offered his heartfelt congratulations. “This victory belongs to the people,” said Mr. Hussain. “MP Amandeep Sodhi’s dedication and humility give us confidence that our community will be well represented in Ottawa.”

Mr. Shafiq Ahmed, Secretary of BSG, also spoke at the meeting, emphasizing the importance of representation. “BSG looks forward to supporting MP Sodhi in her journey ahead,” he said. “We urge her to be a strong voice in Parliament on issues impacting not just the Muslim community, but all residents of Brampton.”

In a memorable and humble gesture, MP Amandeep Sodhi personally served snacks to the attendees, a heartfelt act that underscored her respect and approachability. She expressed deep gratitude for the community’s support and reaffirmed her commitment to public service.

Mr. Gian Paul, Chairperson of the Flower City Friends Club (FCFC), who also attended the meeting, extended his appreciation to both MP Sodhi and the members of BSG. “This gathering reflects the unity and shared values among Brampton’s diverse communities,” he noted. “Such dialogue is the key to collective strength.”
