Brampton — The holiday season officially arrived in Brampton this weekend as the annual Brampton Santa Claus Parade filled the city with festive cheer, dazzling lights, and family excitement. Thousands of residents lined the streets to witness the beloved tradition, featuring brilliantly decorated floats, lively marching bands, community groups, and the much-anticipated arrival of Santa Claus himself.
This year’s parade once again reaffirmed its reputation as one of Brampton’s largest and most cherished community celebrations, bringing together families of all backgrounds for an evening of joy, unity, and holiday magic.

Mayor Patrick Brown praised the event, highlighting Brampton’s strong community spirit.
“The Santa Claus Parade is one of Brampton’s most heartwarming traditions, bringing families together and lighting up our city with joy. I want to thank all the volunteers, organizers, and performers who made this year’s parade spectacular. This is what the spirit of Brampton is all about.”
The celebration continues throughout November as the city prepares for several upcoming holiday events:
- On November 22, the Winter Artist Market at Springdale Library will showcase local artisans and handcrafted holiday gifts.
- On November 29, Brampton residents will gather downtown for the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony and Miracle on Main Street, featuring skating at Gage Park, festive crafts in City Hall, photos with Santa, and a petting zoo at Alderlea.
- The evening will culminate with the official lighting of the Christmas Tree in Ken Whillans Square.
Regional Councillor Rowena Santos emphasized the importance of community connection during the holiday season.
“Events like the Santa Claus Parade remind us how vibrant, creative, and united our community truly is. Seeing families come together to celebrate brings so much warmth to our city. I encourage everyone to join the upcoming festivities and support our local artists and families.”

As part of the city’s commitment to giving back, residents attending Miracle on Main Street are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy to support local families through the Tiger Jeet Singh Foundation.
Regional Councillor Paul Vicente also extended appreciation to Brampton residents for their continued participation.
“The energy throughout the parade was incredible. Brampton’s spirit shines brightest when we come together, and this event set a wonderful tone for the upcoming holiday celebrations. Thank you to everyone who helped make this parade such a tremendous success.”
Admission to all upcoming holiday events is free, making them accessible to families across the city.
Brampton now looks ahead to a season filled with community, celebration, and the warmth of togetherness—kickstarted beautifully by this year’s Santa Claus Parade.
