Brampton Repeat Offenders Charged After Stealing Over $32,000 in Electronics, Police Say

Three repeat offenders are facing charges after allegedly stealing more than $32,000 worth of electronics and merchandise from a store in Orillia, police say.

The incident occurred on Wednesday at a retail business on Monarch Drive, where employees reported seeing three suspects concealing electronic devices. When a worker confronted them, the suspects fled in a silver Mazda 5 and headed toward Highway 11.

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers tracked the vehicle and arrested three male suspects. The stolen merchandise was seized and recovered from the car.

Investigators say the suspects have a history of similar offences:

  • One man was already on a release order from Montreal Police and Toronto Police for similar crimes.
  • Another suspect was wanted by Halton Regional Police for similar charges.
  • The third male was reported to Canada Border Services.

The accused have been identified as:

  • Sylwester Ciwinski (Toronto)
  • Flip Kwiatkowski (Brampton)
  • Roman Kwiatkowski (Brampton)

All three face multiple charges, including two counts each of theft under $5,000 – shoplifting.

The suspects were held in custody pending a bail hearing.
