Brampton Man Dies in Transport Truck Crash on New Brunswick Highway

A tragic accident on a New Brunswick highway has claimed the life of a 48-year-old man from Brampton, Ontario, while leaving another individual hospitalized.

The incident occurred Tuesday on Highway 2 near Meductic, approximately 80 kilometers west of Fredericton. According to the RCMP, the driver of an eastbound transport truck “lost control” of the vehicle, causing it to veer off the road.

The driver, who sustained non-life-threatening injuries, was transported to a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, the Brampton man, a passenger in the truck, succumbed to his injuries at the scene. His name has not been released.

Investigation Underway

The RCMP is being assisted in the investigation by a collision reconstructionist and the New Brunswick Coroner’s Office. Details surrounding the cause of the crash remain under investigation.

Informants remain anonymous, do not have to testify, and may be eligible for a $2,000 reward.
