Karambir Singh, 27, of Brampton, is facing serious drug trafficking charges following a major cocaine seizure at the Blue Water Bridge border crossing in Point Edward, Ontario.
The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) reported that on June 12, a commercial truck entering Canada from the United States was referred for a secondary inspection. During the search, border officers, assisted by a detector dog, uncovered 161 bricks of suspected cocaine packed into six boxes. The total weight of the narcotics exceeded 187 kilograms, with an estimated street value of $23.3 million.
Singh has been charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with importation of cocaine and possession for the purpose of trafficking.
This seizure marks the fourth major cocaine bust at the Blue Water Bridge crossing in 2025. According to the CBSA, officers have intercepted approximately 978 kilograms of cocaine at southern Ontario entry points so far this year, highlighting ongoing efforts to curb cross-border drug smuggling.
