Brampton Launches Interactive Map to Track Park Revitalization in Real Time”

Brampton residents can now explore the city’s ongoing park and recreation upgrades through a new interactive online map that details project timelines, progress, and available amenities at each site. The digital tool offers real-time updates on developments ranging from playground replacements and shade shelters to new recreation centres and splash pads.

The platform highlights key projects such as upgrades at Chris Gibson Recreation Centre, the Cassie Campbell Field Hockey Dome, and various sport court enhancements. Residents can search by neighbourhood or project type to see what’s happening near them, making it easier to track the city’s infrastructure work as each project reaches key milestones.

Projects are grouped into four main categories: new park developments like outdoor rinks and fitness equipment; park revitalizations including trail and court upgrades; new recreation facilities such as youth hubs; and recreation facility renovations.

Alongside the map, the city has also opened a public survey, inviting residents to share their ideas for future park improvements and amenities. The survey is available until December 1, 2025, and aims to gather community input to guide upcoming investments.

Rowena Santos, Regional Councillor for Wards 1 and 5 and Chair of Community Services, emphasized that the new map is designed to make residents active partners in shaping their neighbourhoods.

“This interactive map gives our community the power to see exactly what’s happening in their local parks and recreation spaces,” said Santos. “It’s about transparency, collaboration, and making sure residents have a real say in how their neighbourhoods grow. Together, we’re building spaces that reflect the needs and dreams of Brampton families.”

To explore the map or participate in the survey, residents can visit the City of Brampton’s official website.
