“Brampton Councillor Santos Unveils Empowering Music Video for IWD 2025”

Councillor Rowena Santos and her band, Point of Order, have debuted a stirring music video for International Women’s Day 2025, embracing the UN theme “Accelerate Action.” The piece reimagines Pink’s “All I Know So Far,” a song Santos calls a perfect fit for empowering the next generation.

“Every year, I look forward to weaving the IWD theme into music that celebrates women here in Brampton and globally,” Santos shared. “This song’s message urges girls to stand firm against obstacles, chase their passions with courage, and trust in the guidance around them—exactly what ‘Accelerate Action’ is all about.”

The production opened doors for young talent, featuring Brampton Children’s Chorus singers and Santos’ nieces stepping into a studio for the first time. “Watching them sing, with their moms gazing on proudly through the production room window, was a deeply touching moment,” she noted.

Councillor Navjit Brar and other women leaders also lent their voices, sharing lessons for their younger selves. “We’ve come far, but there’s more to conquer—glass ceilings, barriers, all of it,” Santos said. “This journey continues for us and the girls following in our footsteps.” She thanked the team, volunteers, and Astra Medicare’s Dr. Svitlana Blesko for making it possible.
