The City of Brampton has officially started construction on the $39.5-million Gore Meadows East Community Park, a landmark project designed to meet the city’s rapidly growing demand for outdoor recreational amenities.
The park, located beside the Gore Meadows Community Centre and Library, will form one of Brampton’s largest recreation hubs, combining indoor and outdoor spaces for year-round activities.
New Amenities Planned
The project will deliver a wide range of facilities, including:
- Premier and community cricket pitches
- Junior soccer fields
- Domed racket facilities for paddleball, pickleball, and tennis
- A skate park and modern playground with shade structures
- Skating trails and naturalized environmental zones
- Fitness and cycling paths
- Picnic areas and comfort stations
Leaders on the Project
Regional Councillor Gurpartap Singh Toor (Wards 9 & 10) said the park will play a key role in serving Brampton’s booming east end.
“In the coming year, our community is expected to have nearly 36,000 new residents. As the population grows, the demand for high-quality outdoor amenities increases,” Toor noted.
Mayor Patrick Brown added that the city is making a strategic investment in quality of life:
“This $39.5-million investment reflects our commitment to building a healthier, more active and more vibrant city.”
Timeline & Progress
Construction is expected to be completed by fall 2026. Residents can track the project in real-time using Brampton’s interactive parks and recreation construction map, which highlights ongoing projects across the city.
With cricket grounds, racket courts, and multi-season trails, Gore Meadows East is set to become a destination park for families, athletes, and community gatherings.
