Brampton Breaks Ground on $39.5M Gore Meadows East Community Park

The City of Brampton has officially kicked off construction on the long-awaited Gore Meadows East Community Park — a $39.5 million investment that will transform Brampton’s northeast into one of the city’s premier recreation hubs.

The new outdoor park expands the award-winning Gore Meadows Community Centre and Library, already a cornerstone for aquatic, fitness, and cultural services. Once completed in fall 2026, the centre and park together will offer one of Brampton’s largest year-round recreation destinations, designed to meet the needs of one of the city’s fastest-growing areas.

What’s coming to the park
The Gore Meadows East Community Park will deliver a wide range of modern, inclusive amenities, including:

  • Premier and community cricket pitches
  • Junior soccer fields
  • Domed racket facilities (pickleball, paddleball, tennis)
  • A skatepark
  • Playground with shade structures
  • Skating trails
  • Fitness and cycling paths
  • Picnic areas and comfort stations
  • Naturalized environmental spaces

The City says the project will provide accessible opportunities for sports, leisure, and gathering for residents of all ages and abilities.

Tracking progress
Residents can follow the park’s construction through Brampton’s new Parks and Recreation Construction Map, which provides real-time updates on more than 80 projects underway across the city. These include new playgrounds, splash pads, sports domes, and major recreation centre upgrades such as the Chris Gibson Recreation Centre and the Cassie Campbell Field Hockey Multisport Training Dome.
