Morning commuters on Highway 400 were met with an unusual sight Wednesday after a small boat ended up on the roadway during a multi-vehicle crash.
The collision happened around 8 a.m. near the King Road exit, according to the Ministry of Transportation, which released a photo showing the boat resting on the highway.
Ontario Provincial Police said the crash forced a full closure of southbound lanes approaching King Road. By 8:30 a.m., the HOV and two left lanes remained closed as crews worked to clear the scene.
Despite the dramatic scene, police confirmed no injuries were reported. The OPP continues to investigate the circumstances of the crash.
