TORONTO — Baseball fans across Canada have a new way to get in on the postseason action. Rogers has launched a contest giving away 500 free tickets to every Toronto Blue Jays home game during the MLB playoffs, just in time for Game 1 of the American League Championship Series this Sunday at the Rogers Centre.
Fans can enter to win one of 250 pairs of tickets to each Blue Jays ALCS home game by participating in the “Dial the Dugout” contest. To enter, supporters can:
- Call or text messages of support to John Schneider, Blue Jays manager, at 416-987-JAYS (English), or Russell Martin, former catcher, at 514-807-JAYS (French).
- Post a message on social media using #DialTheDugout for a chance to win one of 50 pairs of tickets.
“Start spreading the news, Canada,” said Schneider. “Show us your support by dialling the dugout to cheer on Canada’s team.”
Rogers is also setting up pop-up “dugout phones” in Toronto throughout the ALCS. The first will be located at Union Station on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., where fans can leave messages and enter to win one of 200 pairs of tickets.
“Baseball fever is spreading across the country, and we want to give fans and customers the chance to experience the Postseason firsthand,” said Terrie Tweddle, Rogers’ chief brand and communications officer. “Dial the Dugout is a fun and engaging way to rally the team and give back to Jays fans.”
Messages submitted may be featured on social media or shared with the team during the playoffs, as the Blue Jays look to make a deep postseason run on home turf.
