Beer Stores in Ontario Now Selling OLG Tickets and More

As of June 12, 2024, Beer Store locations across Ontario can legally sell non-alcoholic items, including Ontario Lottery and Gaming (OLG) tickets. This change, announced by the provincial government, allows Beer Stores to sell secondary items such as branded merchandise and beer mugs. However, they are still prohibited from selling cannabis or tobacco products.

A Beer Store representative declined to comment on potential new products. Meanwhile, the LCBO stated that, although legally permissible, they have no current plans to expand their product offerings. The new regulations for both Beer Stores and LCBO will remain in effect until 2033.
