In a vibrant show of energy and unity, Amandeep Sodhi, the Liberal Party of Canada’s youngest federal candidate, officially launched her campaign office at 134 Kennedy Road South in Brampton Centre. The event drew over 400 enthusiastic supporters, volunteers, community members, and Liberal leaders from across Brampton and surrounding regions.
The grand opening was graced by Hon. Kamal Khera, Minister of Health, as the chief guest. She delivered a powerful endorsement of Sodhi’s candidacy:

“Amandeep is a rising star—intelligent, grounded, and deeply committed to public service. Her voice represents the next generation of Canadian leadership. I am proud to support her, and I know she will be a powerful advocate for Brampton Centre and beyond,” said Minister Khera.
Born in Toronto and raised in Brampton, London, and Caledon, Amandeep Sodhi is a second-generation Canadian who brings a strong understanding of the community’s diverse needs and aspirations. She is a 2023 graduate of the University of Western Ontario, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Certificate in Law and Public Policy.

Currently employed as a legal assistant at a family law firm, Amandeep has developed key insights into the challenges families face and gained experience with legal and policy processes. Her early passion for politics was driven by a desire to understand how progressive policies empower communities, particularly women. That passion deepened during her tenure as Vice President of the Women in Politics Club at university.
A lifelong Liberal, Amandeep is a strong advocate for women’s rights, gender equality, universal healthcare, and affordable housing. Her hobbies include cooking, staying active, crocheting, and volunteering in the community. Her volunteer work has helped strengthen local neighborhoods and uplift vulnerable residents.
“I entered politics because I want to help build a Canada that works for everyone—from our youth to our seniors. We need bold leadership to stand up to harmful Conservative rhetoric and fight for equity and justice,” Sodhi said. “Together, we can reconstruct a Liberal administration and enhance Canada’s resilience.”

Her speech drew loud applause as she addressed key issues affecting Brampton residents, including the rising cost of living, housing unaffordability, delays in healthcare services, and the divisive and anti-people policies of Pierre Poilievre. She also emphasized the importance of protecting Canadian sovereignty and standing strong against Trump-style tariffs that threaten local industries.
“We must reject fear-based politics and protect our social safety net,” she added. “This election is about standing up for our values and giving Brampton a strong voice in Ottawa.”

The event also featured powerful endorsements from fellow Liberal candidates and sitting MPs, reinforcing the party’s goal of winning all six Brampton ridings:
- Shafqat Ali, candidate for Brampton Chinguacousy: “Amandeep understands Brampton. She’s the kind of leader we need—young, committed, and ready to serve with purpose.”
- Ruby Sahota, candidate for Brampton Caledon North: “Her background, education, and energy make her a force for good. Amandeep has my full support.”
- Maninder Sidhu, candidate for Brampton East: “She reflects the real stories of Brampton families—hardworking, hopeful, and forward-looking.”
- Sonia Sidhu, candidate for Brampton South: “Amandeep brings a fresh voice and a powerful vision. Brampton is lucky to have her.”

Regional Councillor Paul Vicente also expressed his support, praising Amandeep’s leadership qualities and calling on residents to rally behind her.
The crowd chanted “Six for Six – Let’s Paint Brampton Red!” as speakers highlighted their commitment to restoring a strong, united Liberal government under Mark Carney, focused on economic stability, environmental sustainability, and inclusive growth.
Support from community leaders and organizations was equally strong. Prominent attendees included:
- Balwinder Bains, community activist
- Vicki Dhillon, former Brampton Councillor
- Sukhjot Naroo, local business leader
- Paramjit Birdi, community leader
- Baljinder Laliana, President, Punjabi Arts Association
- Gian Paul, Chairperson, Flower City Friends Club & President, Mukti Foundation

In a joint statement, Gian Paul and the President of the Mukti Foundation said:

Amandeep concluded the event with heartfelt thanks:
