$7.7M Mississauga Luxury Home Once Hosted Hollywood Director Peter Berg

A stunning Mississauga estate with Hollywood ties has hit the market for $7,777,850. Located at 123 Kenollie Avenue in the upscale Mineola West neighbourhood, the five-bedroom, seven-bathroom home spans approximately 10,000 square feet and combines high-end design with resort-style amenities.

Built around 2015 at a cost of $6.5 million and later upgraded with an additional $2 million in improvements, the home was designed by Dochia Design with interiors by Fleur de Lis. It features soaring nine- to 14-foot ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, a free-floating staircase with shattered glass panels, sunken living and dining rooms with coffered ceilings, and striking backlit onyx and exposed brick accent walls. Massive sliding doors open to a serene backyard oasis that includes a koi pond with a glass bridge, rain chains, a waterfall feature, and extensive outdoor entertaining spaces.

“The whole home, they’ve created a very zen kind of feel,” said Shaham Ahmad, broker with The Papousek Team – ReMax. The property includes a Gunite saltwater pool, hot tub, fire table, outdoor kitchen, custom play area, terraces, and a basketball court — creating a private retreat that feels more like a luxury resort.

Inside, the chef’s kitchen boasts a large centre island, red iron marble countertops, and Miele appliances. High-tech touches such as radiant heated floors, motion-activated staircase lighting, and an advanced security system were featured in an episode of Smart Home Nation. The lower level includes a home theatre with surround sound, a recreation room with an onyx wet bar, a commercial-style gym, and a spa area complete with massage and red light therapy. There’s even a hidden panic room, and the property sits on a quiet dead-end street.

The home also attracted the attention of Hollywood. In 2021, U.S. director Peter Berg — known for Lone Survivor, Deepwater Horizon, and Patriots Day — rented the property while in Toronto for a Netflix production. Ahmad recalled that Berg’s housing coordinator called after seeing the listing. “She said, ‘Peter Berg loves this house. He needs to stay here.’” After a tour, Berg’s team was sold. “He’s like, ‘Oh my God, this is one of the best homes we’ve ever seen,’” Ahmad said.

With the owners leaving the country temporarily, a deal was struck, and Berg stayed in the home for a few months.

The current owners have lived in the house for a decade but are ready to move on, Ahmad said. Despite a softer real estate market, he noted that there remains a pool of qualified buyers in the ultra-luxury segment. “There are still buyers out there that are looking, and qualified buyers that can actually afford the home,” he said.
