200 km/h Chase on Highway 407: Brampton Men Face Multiple Charges

Two Brampton men are facing charges following a high-speed police chase that reached speeds over 200 km/h on Highway 407.

York police reported that the incident began just before 1 a.m. on July 7, when officers observed a white Lamborghini Urus speeding on Highway 407 near Dufferin Street. With the assistance of the Air Support Unit, the vehicle was tracked to a residential area near Leslie Street and Summerdale Drive in Markham.

Footage released by police shows officers attempting to arrest the driver, who fled the scene and struck a tire deflation device. Despite losing a tire, the Lamborghini continued on Highway 407, eventually being tracked to an apartment complex near Red Maple Road and Oneida Crescent in Richmond Hill. During the attempt to arrest the suspects, they rammed marked police cruisers and fled west on Highway 407.

Despite the damage to several tires, police reported that the suspects reached speeds over 140 km/h while trying to evade capture. The vehicle was eventually followed to an industrial area in Brampton, where one suspect exited the Lamborghini and tried to escape in another car. The second suspect attempted to drive away, running over an officer’s foot before being apprehended.

Samuel Ugbo-Adeosun, 21, of Brampton, has been charged with dangerous operation, flight from a peace officer, and failing to stop after an accident. Keenan Adu, 22, of Brampton, has been charged with assaulting a peace officer with a weapon.
