February Government Benefit Payments Set to Roll Out for CPP, OAS, and ODSP Recipients

Eligible Canadians will receive their Canada Pension Plan (CPP), Old Age Security (OAS), Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP), and Veteran Disability Pension payments in the last week of February. The payment schedule is as follows:

  • CPP & OAS: February 26
  • Veteran Disability Pension: February 27
  • ODSP: February 28

To qualify for CPP, you must be at least 60 years old and have made at least one contribution to the plan through employment in Canada. The amount you receive depends on your age at retirement, total contributions, and average earnings. The maximum monthly CPP payment for 2025 is $1,364.60 for those retiring at age 65, while the average payment for new retirees in July 2024 was $815.

OAS payments are available to Canadians 65 and older. Most eligible individuals are automatically enrolled, and Service Canada notifies recipients about their enrollment status.

The Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) provides financial assistance for basic living expenses, including food, rent, health benefits, and employment support. Eligible single recipients can receive up to $1,368 per month. Payments are issued on the last business day of each month, except for December, when they may be distributed earlier.

The Veteran Disability Pension, administered by Veterans Affairs Canada, is a tax-free financial benefit intended to support veterans’ well-being and quality of life. The amount varies based on service-related conditions and their severity.

Recipients who do not receive their payment on the scheduled date should wait 10 business days before contacting the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) for federal benefits or visiting the Ontario government’s ODSP information page for provincial support.

For additional details, individuals can check their My Service Canada Account for estimates and payment tracking.
