A Toronto brother and sister are celebrating a life-changing $75-million Lotto Max jackpot, becoming the first sibling pair in Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation history to share a major lottery prize.
Jonathan R. and his sister, Mylene P., matched the winning numbers in the March 3, 2026 Lotto Max draw after playing together for nearly two years using numbers that held special meaning for their families.
Jonathan discovered the winning ticket while checking it on the OLG mobile app early one morning. Initially believing they had won $75,000, he took a closer look and realized there were several more zeros than expected. Excited and stunned, he woke his sister to share the incredible news.
Mylene also thought the prize was $75,000 at first, before learning that they had actually become multi-millionaires. She described the moment as something she had always dreamed about but never imagined would truly happen.
Jonathan said his wife was initially skeptical when he revealed the news, but the reality of the win soon brought tears of joy to the family.
For both siblings, family comes first. Jonathan plans to support his parents, wife and children, help fund his children’s education and possibly purchase property to build a large family home. He also hopes to finance the construction of a small chapel in his hometown.
Mylene plans to build a home of her own and ensure financial security for her family.
The brother and sister are also looking forward to fulfilling their travel dreams. Among the destinations on their wish list are Germany, Austria and Japan, and they hope to enjoy a family journey across Canada as well.
According to the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation, the winning ticket was purchased at Drewry’s Variety on Drewry Avenue in North York.
The remarkable jackpot has transformed the lives of the Toronto siblings, turning a routine ticket check into a historic and unforgettable moment.
