Brampton Gears Up for Spectacular Canada Day Celebration Featuring Lee Brice and Emerson Drive

The City of Brampton is preparing for one of its biggest and most anticipated events of the year as thousands of residents and visitors gather at Chinguacousy Park on July 1 to celebrate Canada Day with live entertainment, family activities, food vendors, and a spectacular fireworks finale.

This year’s celebration will feature an exciting country music lineup headlined by Lee Brice, the multi-platinum, award-winning country music star known for chart-topping hits and energetic performances. Joining him on stage will be Emerson Drive, one of Canada’s most popular country bands.

Running from noon until 10 p.m., the event promises entertainment for all ages, including inflatables, family-friendly activities, food vendors, community exhibits, and live performances throughout the day. A highlight of the celebration will be the traditional Canada Day fireworks display presented by Tim Hortons, which will light up the night sky and conclude the festivities.

Adding to the celebration, Mayor Patrick Brown and members of Brampton City Council will distribute complimentary cupcakes to attendees as part of the festivities.

Recognizing the large crowds expected at the event, the City of Brampton and Peel Regional Police have announced comprehensive security measures designed to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. Perimeter fencing will surround the event area, with designated entry and exit points where security screenings and bag checks will be conducted.

Prohibited items include weapons, sharp objects, illegal substances, fireworks, drones, laser pointers, outside alcohol, and other items that may pose safety risks. Event organizers emphasize that all attendees must comply with directions from security personnel, City staff, and police officers throughout the celebration.

While security measures have been enhanced, attendees are still permitted to bring outside food, non-alcoholic beverages, coolers, lawn chairs, blankets, tents, strollers, and leashed pets.

To ease transportation challenges, the City is encouraging residents to leave their vehicles at home due to limited parking availability and road closures surrounding the event. Free shuttle services will operate throughout the day from four locations across Brampton: Mount Pleasant GO Station, Trinity Common Mall, Sheridan College, and Gore Meadows Community Centre. Shuttle buses will run every 30 minutes throughout the event.

City officials describe Canada Day as an opportunity to celebrate Canadian pride, diversity, and community spirit while bringing together residents from all backgrounds. Mayor Patrick Brown emphasized that Canada remains one of the world’s greatest countries because of its freedoms, opportunities, and strong communities.

Peel Regional Police Chief Nishan Duraiappah also reassured residents that extensive planning and coordination have taken place to provide a visible police presence and comprehensive safety plan throughout the celebration.

With world-class entertainment, family activities, community spirit, and a dazzling fireworks display, Brampton’s Canada Day celebration is expected to once again be one of the largest and most memorable Canada Day events in the Greater Toronto Area.
