Flower City Friends Club Turns Mother’s Day into Celebration of Wellness and Joy

The Flower City Friends Club celebrated Mother’s Day with great enthusiasm, laughter, yoga, music, delicious food, and heartfelt emotions during a grand Mother’s Day Celebration held on May 17, 2026, at Paul Palleschi Recreation Centre. Over 150 members and guests attended the colourful and entertaining event, making it one of the most memorable gatherings organized by the club this year.

The event commenced with opening remarks by FCFC Chairperson Gian Paul, who warmly welcomed all mothers, members, guests, and dignitaries. Speaking about the importance of mothers in family and society, he said mothers are the foundation of every home whose sacrifices, patience, and unconditional love keep families united through all challenges of life.

“Mothers silently carry the burden of the entire family with love and dedication. Their sacrifices can never truly be repaid. Today is an opportunity to honour and appreciate every mother for her priceless role in shaping our families and communities,” said Gian Paul.

The evening was beautifully coordinated by Masters of Ceremonies Joyti Dadilia and Kamal Babra, who kept the audience engaged throughout the program with humour, interaction, and lively entertainment.

Joyti Dadilia said, “Mother’s Day is not only a celebration but also a reminder to cherish and respect the women who dedicate their entire lives to their families. It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces together today.”

Kamal Babra added, “FCFC events always bring positivity and happiness to seniors and families. Today’s celebration was filled with emotion, entertainment, community spirit, and wonderful fellowship.”

FCFC President Jaswinder Daind also shared heartfelt thoughts about mothers and their contribution to society.

Adding a special wellness component to the celebration, yoga instructor Anuja Kabuli encouraged seniors to participate in fun yoga exercises performed on Bollywood songs, creating a lively and joyful atmosphere. FCFC highlighted that yoga plays an important role in helping senior members improve their physical health, mental wellness, flexibility, concentration, and emotional wellbeing while promoting a strong and positive mind.

The event also featured a variety of delicious snacks and food, which added flavour and warmth to the celebration. Members enjoyed sharing meals together while socializing and celebrating the spirit of Mother’s Day in a friendly and family-like atmosphere.
