Families and thrill-seekers across the GTA are getting ready for one of the biggest fireworks celebrations of the season as Canada’s Wonderland prepares to host a spectacular Victoria Day weekend fireworks extravaganza this Sunday night.
The popular amusement park announced that guests will experience the “largest custom-designed fireworks display in the GTA,” featuring approximately 6,000 colourful fireworks explosions synchronized to an original soundtrack. The breathtaking 15-minute show is scheduled to begin at 10:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 17, 2026, one day before the Victoria Day holiday.
Park officials say visitors are encouraged to arrive early to secure ideal viewing locations throughout the park, as thousands of guests are expected to attend the annual celebration. The fireworks presentation is included with regular park admission and season passes.
For those seeking a premium experience, VIP packages are also being offered. These include reserved patio seating at Lazy Bear Lodge, unlimited appetizers and desserts, beverages, and additional perks during the show.
The Victoria Day fireworks will mark the first major fireworks event of the 2026 season at Canada’s Wonderland. Additional fireworks displays are already planned for Canada Day on July 1 and Labour Day weekend on September 6.
The long weekend event is expected to attract visitors from across the Greater Toronto Area, including Brampton, Mississauga, Vaughan, and surrounding communities looking to celebrate the unofficial start of summer with rides, entertainment, and a dazzling nighttime finale.
