OPP Allege Bribes Were Paid for Favourable Ontario Driving Test Results

The Ontario Provincial Police say seven people have been charged following an investigation into an alleged bribery scheme involving Ontario G-class driver examinations.

According to police, the investigation began in September 2024 after the OPP’s Serious Fraud Office received information about suspected irregularities in the driver testing process.

Investigators allege that bribes were accepted in exchange for favourable driving exam results for G-class licences.

Police say the investigation uncovered alleged offences including accepting secret commissions, money laundering, conspiracy to commit an indictable offence and breach of trust.

The following individuals have been charged:

  • Abdulkarim Afrayim Sava, 65, of Brampton
  • Samuel Adewale, 65, of Brampton
  • Elizabeth Taylor, 50, of Mississauga
  • Farhad Sanders, 43, of Vaughan
  • Michelle Miceli, 49, of Toronto
  • Shanna Marie Tozer, 43, of Toronto
  • Ahmed Ismail Ghanchi, 44, of Toronto

All seven accused have been released from custody and are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Toronto on May 13.

Police say the investigation remains ongoing and are asking anyone with information to contact the OPP or submit anonymous tips through Crime Stoppers.
