BRAMPTON — Young residents in Brampton will once again have the opportunity to stay active and connected this summer through a free city program offering access to transit and recreation.
Applications are now open for the Explore Brampton Youth Pass 2026, which provides eligible youth aged 12 to 16 with free access to Brampton Transit along with select drop-in recreational programs across the city.
The pass will be valid from July 1 to September 6, 2026, allowing participants to enjoy activities such as swimming, skating and various sports programs at participating facilities.
The City of Brampton plans to distribute up to 2,500 passes this year as part of its ongoing efforts to promote youth engagement and healthy lifestyles.
Mayor Patrick Brown encouraged families to take advantage of the initiative, highlighting its role in keeping young people active and involved in the community during the summer months.
“Programs like the Explore Brampton Youth Pass help ensure our young residents have access to opportunities that keep them active, engaged and connected to their community,” he said.
The program is part of the city’s broader 2026–2030 Youth Engagement Strategy, aimed at expanding access to recreational and social opportunities for young people.
Eligible youth must apply online before the May 17, 2026 deadline. More details and application information are available on the city’s official website.
With summer around the corner, the initiative offers a valuable opportunity for Brampton youth to explore their city, stay active and make the most of the season at no cost.
