Regional Councillor Rowena Santos Hosts Neighbourhood Association Meet, Mingle & Workshop

Regional Councillor Rowena Santos (Wards 1 & 5) invites community leaders, neighbourhood association members and residents to a special “Meet, Mingle & Workshop” evening to celebrate the launch of the City of Brampton’s first-ever Community Safety Month. The event is presented in partnership with the City’s Community Safety & Well‑Being Office (CSWO).

What to expect:

  • An opportunity to connect with other neighbourhood leaders and passionate residents
  • A workshop session on the Neighbourhood Associations Program — how to get involved, share best practices and start new groups in 2026
  • The launch of the Annual Community Safety Survey — your chance to help shape safety priorities for Brampton’s neighbourhoods
  • An information table hosted by Councillor Santos’ team — stop by, say hello and share your ideas

Why this matters:
Earlier this month, Brampton City Council officially proclaimed November as Community Safety Month — designed to empower residents, provide tools and resources, and strengthen the connections that build safe and vibrant neighbourhoods.
By bringing together neighbourhood associations, residents and City staff in one place, this event aligns with the CSWO’s Community Safety Action Plan, which emphasizes safety, awareness and empowerment.

Quote:

“By celebrating Community Safety Month and hosting this evening, we reinforce that safety and well-being start in our neighbourhoods. I’m excited to meet with the people who make Brampton safer, stronger and more connected,” said Councillor Santos.
