Grey Cup 2025: Montreal Alouettes Face Saskatchewan Roughriders in Championship Showdown on Nov. 16

Winnipeg — The stage is set for the 112th Grey Cup, Canada’s biggest football event, kicking off this Sunday, November 16, at Princess Auto Stadium in Winnipeg, Manitoba. This marks the city’s first time hosting the championship since 2015, and fans across the country are gearing up for what promises to be a thrilling clash between the Montreal Alouettes and the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

The Montreal Alouettes, who finished second in the East Division with a 10-8 record, advanced to the Grey Cup after a dramatic walk-off field goal victory against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the Eastern Final. This will be Montreal’s 19th Grey Cup appearance and an opportunity to secure their ninth championship, following their most recent win in 2023.

Their opponents, the Saskatchewan Roughriders, dominated the West Division with a 12-6 record, sealing their trip to Winnipeg with a last-second touchdown against the BC Lions in the Western Final. This will also be Saskatchewan’s 19th appearance, as they aim to capture their first title since 2013.

While the Roughriders boast the better regular-season record, KPMG Canada’s predictive analysis gives the Alouettes a 61 per cent chance to win, compared to 39 per cent for Saskatchewan.

The Bud Light Grey Cup Halftime Show will feature American rapper MGK (formerly Machine Gun Kelly), performing for the first time in Winnipeg. Canadian alternative rock icons Our Lady Peace will headline the SiriusXM Grey Cup Kickoff Show, and Manitoba’s own Catie St. Germain will perform the national anthem.

Tickets for the championship game are officially sold out on Ticketmaster, but resale listings on StubHub begin at $271 in the upper bowl. Lower bowl seats are averaging $331, while premium front-row seats with centre-field views are being offered for as high as $2,182.

Kickoff is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. ET, with full coverage available on TSN, CTV, RDS, and CBSSN.
