Foo Fighters Announce 2026 ‘Take Cover’ Tour — Kicking Off in Toronto This August

Toronto — After years of anticipation, the Foo Fighters are hitting the road again — and they’re starting right here in Toronto. The iconic rock band announced their Take Cover Tour 2026 on Thursday, marking their first major tour since the death of beloved drummer Taylor Hawkins in 2022.

The tour will launch at Rogers Stadium (not to be confused with Rogers Centre) on August 4, 2026, before heading to Regina (Sept. 15), Edmonton (Sept. 17), and Vancouver (Sept. 20) as part of a four-city Canadian leg that accompanies eight U.S. dates.

Joining the Foo Fighters on tour will be Queens of the Stone Age, the powerhouse American rock band behind the hit No One Knows, setting the stage for a night of high-voltage performances and nostalgia.

This tour also marks a new chapter for the Foo Fighters lineup. Ilan Rubin, formerly of Nine Inch Nails, officially joined the band as drummer earlier this year, performing alongside Dave Grohl, Nate Mendel, Pat Smear, Chris Shiflett, and Rami Jaffee.

To celebrate the tour announcement, the band also dropped a brand-new single titled “Asking for a Friend”, giving fans a taste of what’s to come from their next era of music.

Tickets will first be available through an artist presale on Tuesday, October 28 at 10 a.m., with registration closing on Sunday, October 26 at 2:59 p.m.. General ticket sales begin Friday, October 31 at 10 a.m.

For Toronto fans, this tour launch will be more than just a concert — it will be a celebration of resilience, legacy, and rock and roll at its finest.
