HomeSense drew a large and enthusiastic crowd on Monday as it unveiled its new 28,000-square-foot location at Clarkson Crossing Plaza, replacing its former store just down the road in Clarkson Village.
Shoppers filled the bright, spacious building from the moment doors opened, eager to browse the wide selection of home fashions, seasonal décor, and accessories. The adjacent parking lot stayed packed throughout the day, underscoring the excitement around the move.
“This is great, it really kind of freshens up this plaza,” said local resident Janice Biggar, who praised the variety and affordability. “You can find bargains here.”
The new site sits at Southdown Road and Royal Windsor Drive, in a busy plaza anchored by Metro, Canadian Tire, and Shoppers Drug Mart, with plenty of dining options nearby.
For HomeSense, the relocation is both practical and symbolic. “Our move to Clarkson Crossing Plaza allows us to welcome our local Mississauga customers into a refreshed, new space while continuing to provide the same great shopping experience they know and love,” said spokesperson Parul Bharadia.
Shoppers like Betty Aiello seemed to agree. Leaving the store with a new mirror, she described the space as “big, bright, airy, lots of stuff,” and said she plans to make it a regular destination for home and gift shopping.
