Stanley Cup Champion Ryan Getzlaf Returns to Star in Hockey Night in Brampton 2025

Brampton, ON – Hockey fans are in for a treat this summer as Stanley Cup champion and former Anaheim Ducks captain Ryan Getzlaf returns to the lineup for Mayor Patrick Brown’s Hockey Night in Brampton 2025, scheduled for Wednesday, August 20 at the CAA Centre. The highly anticipated charity game will once again support the transformation of Peel Memorial into Brampton’s second hospital.

A true legend of the game, Getzlaf played his entire 17-season NHL career with the Anaheim Ducks, amassing 1,019 points across 1,157 games. He served as captain for 12 years, led the Ducks to a Stanley Cup in 2007, and captured two Olympic gold medals for Team Canada in 2010 and 2014. Known for his leadership, playmaking skill, and physical presence, Getzlaf’s return adds star power and excitement to an already electric event.

In 2024, the event made history by raising $14 million, making it the largest charity hockey game ever held in Canada.
