Amazon Prime Day Expands to Four Days in Canada with New Deals, Points, and Prizes

Amazon Prime Day has officially kicked off across Canada—and this year, there’s a major twist. For the first time ever, the highly anticipated shopping event will run for four full days, offering Canadian Prime members more time to snag deals, earn rewards, and win big prizes.

The event began at 12:01 a.m. Pacific Time (3:01 a.m. Eastern) on Tuesday, July 8, and will continue through July 11. Amazon says this extended window will give shoppers across the country expanded access to deep discounts on thousands of items, including top global brands like Samsung, adidas, Levi’s, L’Oréal, Clinique, and LEGO.

Canadian shoppers will also be able to support homegrown businesses through the Canada Showcase storefront, which highlights domestic brands such as grace & stella, Organika, Jamieson, and Kidamento.

In a further incentive, Amazon has teamed up with Aeroplan to allow Prime and Aeroplan members who shop through the Aeroplan eStore during the sale to earn up to 10 times the points—and a shot at winning one million Aeroplan points.

Shoppers spending over $20, including on Prime Video rentals and purchases, will also be automatically entered into Amazon’s new “Giftmania: Checkout Champions” contest. Prizes include vacation packages, sports tickets, cruises, and premium products.

Prime membership in Canada is priced at $9.99 per month or $99 annually, with a discounted student rate of $4.99 per month or $49 per year after a six-month free trial. The offer is available to full-time post-secondary students and young adults aged 19 to 24.

With more than 200 million paid Prime members globally, Amazon’s expansion of Prime Day in Canada signals both the growing importance of the Canadian market and an effort to keep shoppers engaged with new incentives and more time to shop.
