U.S. Open 2025: Tee Times, Canadian Contenders, and How to Watch the Grand Slam Action

The 125th edition of the U.S. Open Golf Championship is set to tee off on Thursday, June 12, at the historic Oakmont Country Club in Plum, Pennsylvania, running through Sunday, June 15. Following the RBC Canadian Open—which saw Ryan Fox of New Zealand claim victory at TPC Toronto—attention now turns to one of golf’s most prestigious Grand Slam events.

Last year’s champion, Bryson DeChambeau, will be back to defend his title after securing his second U.S. Open win at Pinehurst Resort. Legendary figures like Jack Nicklaus, Ben Hogan, Bobby Jones, and Willie Anderson each won the tournament four times, setting the bar high for this year’s competitors.

Scottie Scheffler enters the week as the top-ranked favorite, with DeChambeau close behind. Other notable names in the top 15 include recent Masters champion Rory McIlroy, Sam Burns, Jon Rahm, Sepp Straka, Shane Lowry, Keegan Bradley, Harris English, Joaquin Niemann, Xander Schauffele, Ben Griffin, Ludvig Aberg, Cameron Young, and RBC Canadian Open winner Ryan Fox.

Canada will be well represented by four players: Corey Conners, Mackenzie Hughes, Taylor Pendrith, and Nick Taylor. Conners leads the Canadian contingent with a betting line of +7000, according to Golf.com, and remains a hopeful to make a deep run this weekend.

The first round begins at 6:45 a.m. on Thursday, with Taylor Pendrith the first Canadian to tee off at 7:07 a.m. Canadian viewers can catch all the live action on TSN starting at 6:30 a.m., or stream it on TSN.ca and the TSN app.

As one of the oldest and most storied tournaments in golf, the U.S. Open continues to offer thrilling drama, elite competition, and the chance for both seasoned champions and rising stars to make history.
