The City of Brampton is buzzing once again as the beloved Brampton Farmers’ Market returns to Main Street for the 2025 season. Kicking off on Saturday, June 14, and running rain or shine every Saturday until October 11, the market promises a vibrant blend of local produce, handmade goods, and cultural flair in the heart of downtown.
This year, the market will line Main Street North from Theatre Lane to Queen Street, and Main Street South from Queen Street East to John Street, transforming the city core into a bustling, walkable destination every weekend from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Residents and visitors can look forward to new vendors, surprise pop-ups, and weekly programming designed to delight every age and interest.
A special highlight awaits on opening day with a high-energy performance from the Luminato Festival. At 11:30 a.m. in Garden Square, the bold and rhythmic “Dandyism” by Ziza Patrick will captivate audiences with a powerful street and contemporary dance tribute inspired by the Congolese Sapeur tradition — celebrating Black joy, identity, and resilience. This is presented in partnership with Experience Brampton and the Brampton Arts Organization.
Those looking to tie the knot in a memorable way will be glad to know that outdoor civil marriage ceremonies are returning to the market. Back by popular demand — with an added date this year — couples can say “I do” on June 28, July 26, August 23, or September 27. A valid marriage licence is required and can be obtained online or in person at City Hall.
Adding to the cultural experience is the Brampton Arts Walk of Fame, now temporarily housed inside The Rose. Open on Saturday mornings and Friday evenings during the summer concert series, the exhibit showcases the city’s homegrown talent with engaging stories and visuals that celebrate Brampton’s creative spirit.
As Mayor Patrick Brown shared, “The Brampton Farmers’ Market is one of our city’s most beloved traditions, and I’m excited to welcome residents and visitors back to downtown to experience it again this season. From fresh produce to live entertainment, the market brings our community together and supports local businesses. It’s also my favourite way to spend Saturday mornings with my family.”
With the support of sponsors Algoma University and Attrell Toyota, the 2025 Brampton Farmers’ Market is shaping up to be the most vibrant season yet. Whether you’re hunting for seasonal fruits, chatting with local artisans, enjoying street performances, or simply soaking up the community vibes, downtown Brampton is the place to be every Saturday morning.
