Arrests Made Following Brampton Robbery Investigation

Two individuals have been arrested in connection with a robbery that occurred in Brampton last October, following an extensive investigation by Peel Regional Police’s 21 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau.

On Thursday, October 17, 2024, police responded to a robbery in the area of McLaughlin Road and Charolais Boulevard. According to reports, the victim was approached by several males who demanded the keys to his vehicle. Fearing for his safety, the victim complied, and the suspects fled the scene in the stolen vehicle, which was later recovered.

After months of investigation, on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, officers executed three search warrants at locations in Brampton and Caledon. As a result, two men were taken into custody.

Jatin Kumar, 21, of Brampton has been charged with robbery, while Safaldeep Singh, also 21 and from Brampton, has been charged with uttering threats.
