- Building a More Resilient Economy: The government is focused on reducing reliance on the U.S. by diversifying trade partnerships and investing in domestic industries. Carney has announced plans to eliminate internal trade barriers within Canada by July 1, aiming to create free internal trade and bolster the national economy.
