Sunwing Flights Back on Schedule at Toronto Pearson After Weather-Related Disruptions

Sunwing Airlines has resumed operations at Toronto Pearson International Airport following several days of cancellations that left numerous travelers stranded. The airport’s departure board now displays multiple on-time Sunwing flights, and the airline has removed previous travel advisories from its website.

The disruptions began earlier this week when Sunwing canceled several flights on Wednesday and Thursday. The airline attributed these cancellations to severe weather conditions, including over 60 centimeters of snowfall and high winds in Toronto, as well as “extremely limited” hotel capacity following a recent Delta Air Lines plane crash that injured 21 passengers. The incident led to temporary runway closures, further complicating flight schedules.

In response to the cancellations, Sunwing has offered full refunds to affected customers, promising reimbursement within 21 business days. The airline is also actively working to reunite passengers with their luggage as promptly as possible.

As operations normalize, travelers are encouraged to check their flight statuses regularly and stay informed about any potential changes.
