Explore, Connect, Engage: Brampton Hosts Community Services Expo

The City of Brampton is inviting residents to its first-ever Community Services Expo, a free, interactive event series designed to showcase the programs, services, and resources offered through the City’s Community Services Department. Launching May 1, the expo will travel across Brampton’s community centres and facilities until May 14, giving residents an accessible opportunity to learn, connect, and engage.

The Community Services Expo aims to build stronger ties between the City and its residents by raising awareness of services that enhance daily life. From recreation programs and cultural events to animal services, emergency preparedness, and urban design initiatives, the expo will highlight the many ways the City supports its growing, diverse population. Residents will have the chance to meet City staff, ask questions, offer feedback, and discover how they can get involved. Interactive booths, fun activities, giveaways, and appearances by Buzz, the Brampton Recreation Mascot, will add to the excitement at many of the events.

Over the course of the two-week series, the expo will make stops at Gore Meadows Community Centre, Bob Callahan Flower City Seniors Centre, Cassie Campbell Community Centre, Century Gardens Recreation Centre, Save Max Sports Centre, Riverstone Community Centre, City Hall Conservatory, and Balmoral Recreation Centre. Each event promises a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere where residents can explore local services firsthand.

Mayor Patrick Brown said the Community Services Expo brings City services closer to the people they are designed to support, calling it an important way to help residents discover resources available to them, from recreation to emergency preparedness. Regional Councillor Rowena Santos, Chair of Community Services, emphasized that the initiative is about breaking barriers and making it easier for residents to engage with their City. Regional Councillor Navjit Kaur Brar, Vice-Chair of Community Services, encouraged all residents to attend an event at their nearest community centre and take advantage of the opportunity to connect and learn. Commissioner of Community Services Bill Boyes added that the expo showcases the heart of City service—the people—who work daily to create a vibrant, thriving Brampton.
