Drivers and aspiring motorists in Brampton now have a new location to access licensing and testing services following the relocation of the city’s DriveTest Centre to Shoppers World Brampton.
The new DriveTest Centre officially opened its doors on June 8 at Shoppers World Brampton, located at 499 Main Street South, replacing its former location on First Gulf Boulevard. The facility provides driver licensing, knowledge testing, road test bookings, and other services on behalf of Ontario’s Ministry of Transportation.
The move marks another significant addition to the evolving retail and service landscape at Shoppers World Brampton, which continues to attract new tenants and expand its offerings for residents across the city.
Mall management welcomed the arrival of the new centre, noting that the facility will provide greater convenience for residents seeking government-related driver services while also enhancing the shopping centre’s role as a community destination.
The newly opened DriveTest Centre occupies approximately 10,000 square feet and is expected to serve thousands of customers from Brampton and surrounding communities each year. Its location offers easy access to public transit, ample parking, and proximity to a variety of retail and service businesses.
The opening is part of a broader transformation underway at Shoppers World Brampton. Several additional businesses are expected to open at the shopping centre in the coming months, including new retail, educational, health, and food service operators.
Among the upcoming additions are Healthy Planet, Best Brains Learning Centers, Crazy Rolls Ice Cream, and GoGo Station, reflecting the mall’s continued efforts to diversify its tenant mix and attract a wider range of visitors.
For many Brampton residents, the relocation of the DriveTest Centre to a central and easily accessible location is expected to improve convenience and accessibility for obtaining driver’s licences, completing testing requirements, and accessing other transportation-related services.
