Canada’s Wonderland will continue enforcing its chaperone policy this season, requiring guests aged 15 and under to be accompanied by an adult after 4 p.m.
The policy, first introduced last fall, is now permanent and will take effect daily starting May 1. Under the rules, each group of young visitors must be supervised by a chaperone aged 21 or older, with one adult allowed to accompany up to 10 youths.
Park officials say the measure is aimed at maintaining a “safe, enjoyable environment” following a rise in unruly behaviour reported at amusement parks.
Chaperones must present valid government-issued ID upon entry, and unaccompanied minors may be denied access or removed from the park.
The park noted the policy could be enforced earlier than 4 p.m. if needed, as it prepares to welcome guests for the 2026 season.
