City of Brampton Applauds U9A Girls Hockey Team’s Victory at 55th Brampton Canadettes Easter Tournament

Brampton City Council convened in a lively session to honor the Brampton Canadettes U9A Girls Hockey Team for their exceptional triumph at the 55th Brampton Canadettes Easter Tournament.

The council chambers were filled with applause as members celebrated the team’s championship victory. Demonstrating remarkable skill, determination, and sportsmanship, these young athletes have affirmed their status as a leading force in girls’ hockey.

Mayor Patrick Brown shared his excitement about the team’s accomplishments, stating, “Today, we are celebrating more than a tournament victory; we are celebrating the spirit and potential of our young athletes in Brampton. The Canadettes have captured more than just a title; they have captured our hearts and inspired a generation.”

Regional Councillor Rowena Santos of Wards 1 and 5 expressed immense pride in the team: “The Brampton Canadettes U9A Girls Hockey Team’s outstanding performance and their success in bringing the championship title back to Brampton is truly inspiring for all of us. It underscores the vibrant spirit of our community.”
