Brampton will host the final stop of Canada’s nationwide celebration tour for the FIFA World Cup 2026, marking the bronze and gold medal matches with large-scale community events on July 18 and 19.
The city will feature live match screenings, cultural programming, fan experiences and soccer-themed activities, transforming public spaces into vibrant hubs for residents and visitors. All events will be free and open to the public.
Although not an official host city, Brampton has been recognized for its deep contribution to Canadian soccer, producing top talent for both men’s and women’s national teams and fostering grassroots development through local clubs and programs.
The celebrations are part of the “Where the Game Grows” campaign, highlighting the city’s strong soccer culture and community engagement.
Mayor Patrick Brown called the event a proud moment that reflects Brampton’s role in shaping the sport nationally, while local leaders say the initiative will boost community pride, support local businesses, and showcase the city’s diversity and energy.
The announcement builds on earlier events this year celebrating Brampton’s soccer legacy, as excitement grows ahead of the 2026 tournament.
