Community invited to Garden Square on June 27 for a vibrant celebration of diversity, inclusion and pride
BRAMPTON – The City of Brampton is inviting residents, families and allies to come together for Pride 2026, a vibrant community celebration recognizing diversity, inclusion and the contributions of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.
The event will take place on Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Garden Square in downtown Brampton, alongside the popular Downtown Brampton Farmers’ Market.
Pride 2026 will feature a lively lineup of entertainment, including music by DJ Chissmiss Cherry, drag performances presented in partnership with Equal Peel, and appearances by talented performers Tifa Wine, Dahlia Doll and Aria Doll. Residents will also enjoy Pride-themed activities, giveaways, face painting, interactive photo opportunities and community information booths showcasing organizations and services supporting the 2SLGBTQIA+ community throughout Brampton and Peel Region.
Community partners participating in the celebration include Moyo Health and Community Services, Pflag Peel Region, Saving Lives with Pride and several other local organizations dedicated to promoting inclusion, support and well-being.
The event is made possible through the generous support of TD and Algoma University.
Pride Month continues to be recognized each June as an opportunity to celebrate love, identity, diversity and equality while reaffirming the commitment to building welcoming and inclusive communities. The City of Brampton remains dedicated to fostering an environment where everyone feels respected, valued and empowered to be their authentic selves.
In addition to the June 27 celebration, residents are encouraged to participate in several Pride Month activities taking place across the city, including the Brampton Arts Organization’s Open Studio+ and QT Artist Mixer, Pride Book Club sessions at Brampton Library branches and Rainbow Road Game Nights designed to bring together residents in a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere.
Mayor Patrick Brown emphasized the importance of Pride Month in strengthening community connections.
“Pride 2026 offers residents a meaningful opportunity to celebrate love, identity and expression while recognizing the 2SLGBTQIA+ community members who help shape Brampton every day. Through music, performances, family-friendly activities and community connections, Pride Month reflects our continued commitment to creating a city where everyone feels welcomed, respected and empowered to be themselves,” said Mayor Patrick Brown.
Councillor Navjit Kaur Brar, Chair of the Corporate Services Section, highlighted the importance of visibility and belonging.
“Pride is about visibility, inclusion and creating spaces where everyone can feel a sense of belonging. Events like Pride 2026 give residents and allies opportunities to celebrate diversity, learn from one another and strengthen community connections across Brampton,” she said.
