Earth Day 2025 Environmental Celebration and Grow Green Awards
A highlight of Earth Month is the Earth Day 2025 Environmental Celebration and Grow Green Awards ceremony, scheduled for April 20 at the Gore Meadows Community Centre and Library. This event will honor individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to environmental sustainability in Brampton.
Community Tree Planting Initiative
In alignment with Brampton’s ambitious goal of planting one million trees by 2040, the City, in partnership with Toronto Pearson and CN, is hosting a community tree planting event. Residents are encouraged to bring friends and family to contribute to this green legacy. Registration is required, and spaces are limited.
Parks Cleanup Program
Earth Month also marks the kickoff of the Parks Cleanup Program, running from April 1 to November 1. This initiative empowers residents to organize litter cleanups in local parks and track their progress using the City’s new competition tool. It’s an excellent opportunity for community groups, schools, and individuals to take an active role in maintaining Brampton’s natural beauty.
